Tequila Ocho Extra Añejo "La Mula" 2021

A particularly special release for Tequila Ocho because it comes from the original ranch of Don Felipe Camarena, Master Distiller Carlos Camarena's Grandfather.

Located at roughly 6,800 feet above sea level, it is one of the highest agave estates in the Jalisco Highlands. The agave harvested for the 2021 vintage were roughly 6.5 years old and reached an exceptional sugar content of over 30%. Aged for three to four years in "ex-American whiskey barrels.

The palate is a silky and viscous experience featuring deep cooked agave, fresh ginger, and dark chocolate, balanced by a distinct sea salt or brine character and cracked black pepper.
