Marc Deschamps "Les Champs de Cri" Pouilly-Fume 2022

2022 represents the final vintage of the now-retired Marc Deschamps, a superb producer of classic, mineral-driven sauvignon blanc from Pouilly-Fume. The wines here tends toward a more austere fruit profile and penetrating minerality compared to the neighboring appellation of Sancerre. Old vines planted on limestone and silex make for a serious and satisfying wine.
