Roagna "Pira" Barolo 2019

While Roagna is more known for their Barbaresco holdings, the family's largest parcel is actually in the Pira cru of the Castiglione Faletto commune of Barolo. This is a powerful wine, with darker red fruit than the Barbaresco, and a slightly more austere profile created from formidable tannins. Definitely one to age for the future.
